Spiritual Growth
The most important aspect of everything we do at FBCS is making sure that our students encounter God every day and leave school having grown in their spiritual wisdom and maturity. In all subjects, our teachers practice biblical integration, teaching a Christ-centered worldview and reinforcing biblical truths in everything they teach. Weekly chapels featuring local pastors and missionaries further encourage our students to live a Christ-like life and reinforce the biblical lessons they have learned in class. Each school year, chapels focus on a specific theme and book of the Bible such as wisdom in Proverbs and worship in Psalms.
Partnership with His Little Feet
First Baptist Christian School is proud to partner with the His Little Feet International children's choir. This incredible organization comprised of orphans from several different countries including India, Kenya, and Haiti. The goal of HLF is to be "the voice for orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide" and to share the love of Christ everywhere they go. Our students love His Little Feet and look forward to their arrival each year. It is an amazing opportunity for kids to learn about children from other countries and see how the truth of God goes beyond language, skin color, and culture.
At the end of each school year, FBCS's weekly chapel offerings are donated to His Little Feet
to help further their mission.

Teach Truth
"Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."
Psalm 25:5
Curriculum and Academics
With a maximum class size of only 22 students, each child can receive the one-on-one assistance and differentiated instruction that he or she may need. Our teachers are truly able to know their students, the ways they best learn and understand, and how to give them the greatest opportunities to be successful.
FBCS utilizes the following curriculum resources in the classroom:
- Bob Jones University (BJU) Press

Extracurricular Activities
Beyond textbooks and out of the classroom, extracurricular activities give students the opportunity to further to express themselves, grow their confidence and team skills, and maybe take a chance to try something they never thought of doing before! As unique and individual creations of God, all of our students have special gifts and talents. For some, these are evident in the classroom - for others, they may be shown on the stage, field, court, or beyond. We are inspired every day by seeing how our students have been gifted by God and how they utilize those gifts to bring Him glory.

Technology
Technology literacy is quickly becoming an important part of any education. At FBCS, we see technology in the classroom as a tool to enhance the teacher's efforts - not replace them. Our students still use physical textbooks and turn in written assignments, while technology is purposefully integrated where it makes the most sense and has the greatest impact. Some examples of the types of technology (devices & programs) our teachers may choose to use are:
- MimioTeach Interactive Whiteboards
- iPads & Chromebooks
- Google Docs & Slides
- Google Classroom
- Quizlet & Kahoot!
- A full mobile Chromebook lab

Serve Others
"...whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:40
Student Service
We believe that it is important to give our students the opportunity to live out their faith by serving in their community. Whether it's holding a diaper drive for the Pregnancy Help Center, beautifying their campus, or serving at local agencies that provide services within the city, FBCS students are eager to make a difference. Many times, the ideas for these service projects come from the students themselves!
